I worked as a part-time UI/UX Consultant at OneCFO. One of my tasks include creating the UI Design of the company's website. The details and content were already given to me and I just have to create the design of the website in line with the company's Brand Identity while also considering the users' perspective and the company's requirements.
Design Process
Emphatize. Plan. Design. Test.
In the first phase, the Empathize phase, me and the CEO had a meeting where he discussed the goals and objectives of OneCFO. From the meeting, I further asked him regarding the users of his product and what features and functions does he want to include in the website. Upon knowing the users and his desired features, I determined the users' needs and how OneCFO will help with these needs. The main users of the product would be startup founders, accountants and investors. While I was on the process of planning, I also did some research on some existing financial websites which helped me visualize the outcome of OneCFO. The CEO already gave me the content of the website with the help of the Digital Marketing Manager. I was able to create a wireframe that fits all the requirements of the company and the users. In the Design phase, I designed the website based from the wireframe I created in the Planning phase. I also created some illustrations and vectors to be included on the website. After this, I created the prototype in which I tested in the Test phase. In the testing phase, I determined what to improve with the design based on the comments of the CEO and the development team.
